FCW 10/16/11

The NEW FCW Champion!

Should be interesting if I can get this up in time, as I’m working 12 hour days, which is followed by the gym, and I’m still trying to get enough sleep. I’m wondering if I should shower tonight. Probably a good idea.

The first image that is seen is of the FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion, Leo Kruger. We’re gonna hear from Leo Kruger tonight. And we kick it off for the tag titles.

Florida Tag Team Championship Match
Donny Marlow & CJ Parker vs Calvin Raines & James Bronson

I can’t stand this concept. These two have never tagged before, yet they get a tag title shot. Parker and Marlow were beaten last week in a 6 man by the Ascension, give them a title shot. I’d make a TNA joke but they’re dead to me after Bound for Glory. We start off with Donny and Weird Cal Yankovic. Marlow has a mohawk type of haircut. Headbutt by Marlow and he brings him in the corner with a tag to CJ. Poetry in Motion type move by CJ and Donny, and CJ tries for a headlock take over but it gets reversed into a back suplex. Tag to James Bronson. CJ tries fighting back to no avail. Wicked kick by Bronson. He gets him up on his shoulders and Cal hits a Doomsday device, geez. Cal gets a two count after Donny breaks it up. Lots of quick tags in and out. Bronson in with a chinlock. Tag back in and a half nelson by Calvin Raines. More tags, good tag team wrestling despite not being a tag team. They try a double suplex but CJ escapes and gets a tag. Bronson is sent out of the ring and Marlow dominates Calvin Raines. Samoan Drop by Marlow and he gets the pinfall.

Winners and STILL Florida Tag Team Champions, Donny Marlow and CJ Parker.

Apparently it’s called the Tongan drop, but oh well.

Marlow and Parker successfully defend their titles against a random tag team.

Leo Kruger comes out to the ring, and he has a sash around his body, like, a leopard skin one. He says it feels great to be right, and he’s been right all along. He said he was the future, and he has proven it. He is the walking, talking, living, breathing, main event. The greatest man ever to set foot in the ring and the greatest South African to hold the title (a shot at Justin Gabriel). Tonight he claims his responsibility for putting Bobo Rotundo out of action. He lacerated his kidney. How does one do that? Did he pull a knife on him? It was an accident though. He is going to unveil his banner, he wants to tear down Bo’s banner. Why not Lucky Cannon’s, he’s not even there anymore. Husky Harris comes out with his mic. He tells him not to touch his brother’s banner. Maxine quickly comes out. She says she has the say in where the banner goes. She says there’s gonna be a triple threat between Dean Ambrose, Damien Sandow and Husky Harris, with the winner facing Leo next week.

Briley Pierce is backstage with Husky Harris and asks about Bo. He says he’ll be fine, but tonight he seizes his opportunity for a title shot. Richie Steamboat comes in and tries to clear the air with Husky and accidentally superkicking him last week. Eventually we hear screams and it’s Aksana crying. She’s on the ground with Husky standing over her. Richie turns around Harris and hits him with a superkick and comes to Aksana’s aid. She says he pushed her. She hugs Richie and you can see her sneaky grin. Aksana is obviously happy to be pushed. Women. Speaking of women.

FCW Divas Championship
Audrey Marie (c) vs Leah West

Ok, I complained about this in the first match, but Leah lost her debut last week. Why is she getting a title match? Audrey Marie comes out in her Stan Hanson vest and techno music. Man, that belt looks a lot like the old WWF Women’s Championship from the 80s. Lock up into the corner and Audrey starts working on the arm. Whip into the ropes, but Leah holds on the rope and Audrey misses a dropkick. Hair-pull takedown gets a 1 count. Chinlock and pulling back on the face. They talk about Lance Storm originally training Leah. A laugh a minute Regal calls him.

Leah with her submission stylings and serious wrestling of course

Sunset flip attempt by Audrey and Leah tries for a banzai drop but misses. Atomic drop by Audrey. Kind of odd wrestling attempts. Audrey hits the round up, and it’s all over.

Winner and STILL Divas Champion, Audrey Marie.

I have a lot to live up to when I go to train with Lance, haha. Standing by is Briley Pierce with Antonio Cesaro. We get a nice HEY! from the crowd, and Cesaro is wearing his very European beret tonight. He’s MR. Antonio Cesaro. He’s collected titles all around the globe. He says he wants his banner on the wall and he wants to be Florida Heavyweight Champion. he starts speaking in German, to which Briley Pierce pulls back the mic and says he can’t understand him. Antonio says these stupid Americans only speak one language. He speaks 4 (though he still has a rough time with English). He says his ring skills are about 25 times higher then his language skills. He’s Antonio Cesaro and he’s VERY EUROPEAN! I have to find that Chikara promo where Sara Del Rey almost bursts out laughing with his angry broken english.

Hey Briley. Nice shirt, short hair!

Abraham Washington vs Peter Orlov

Peter is a heel this week for some reason. He has this Russian pop song for his entrance. He’s completely missing his hat though. Maybe a Cossack dance in this one. Orlov gets whipped off the ropes and hits a shoulder block. Working on the arm at the beginning is Honest Abe, but Abe rakes the eyes and gets the advantage. He goes for a spinning toehold but gets pushed outside the ring. He grabs the leg while on the outside to trip up Abe and gets the advantage. He continues working on that leg throughout the match. He hit a Cossack kick, not like he normally does. He tries for an elbow drop though but misses. He’s once again pushed out of the ring after being kicked off. Abe starts to fire up and hits a flapjack, and now looks to put it in yo’ face but Orlov holds onto the leg. Washington kicks him off and delivers an elbow drop to get the win.

Winner: Abraham Washington

We go once again to Briley Pierce with Byron Saxton with the NAACP’s favourite duo, Naomi and Cameron Lynn. They’re really going all out on the stereotype there, maybe Antonio Cesaro could get on their good side by giving them some waterlemons. Byron talks about why he is associating with them. He feels they are unique, different, and a platform of potential. Naomi grabs the mic and goes “YEAH YEAH” to try and talk but Byron takes the mic back. If you mess with him, you mess with them. Naomi gives a shout out to her family and I’m not gonna try to transcribe this. Basically, think Maury Povich. Cameron has this annoying laugh though. Byron finishes it off with his own “yeeeah” showing he definitely sticks out from those two.

I guess WWE Films will be looking to do some Blaxploitation films in the future

Damien Sandow vs Dean Ambrose vs Husky Harris

Different music for Ambrose today. A 3 way number one contenders match upcoming here. Husky is wiggling his tongue around, how nice. Husky looks to have new tights. Ambrose goes for the attack but Sandow throws him off and fights him himself. Ambrose gets thrown out of the ring. Big clothesline by Harris on Sandow. A three way fight at the start of the match. Savage neck choke over the top rope by Sandow. Now the heels start the double teaming. Dean Ambrose whips Sandow into Harris but Harris moves and tries for a quick roll up, only getting two. Husky tries to fight back but gets a double elbow from both men. Sandow goes for the pin but Ambrose pulls him off. The argument starts between the two and they push each other back and forth. Sandow is the one who strikes first on Ambrose. Ambrose hits a big clothesline. He whips him into the ropes and Sandow hits a neckbreaker which gets a near fall. Harris fights out of the corner and misses a splash with Sandow in the corner. They fight back and forth with Harris going for a pinfall, which is broken up by Ambrose. All three men are trying to go for covers when one guy is down. Sandow tries to baseball slide Ambrose but misses. Husky pulls him in the ring and starts the beat down on Ambrose. Big Urinage on Ambrose but Sandow goes for a school boy on Harris. After a kick out, he goes to pin Ambrose, and Husky pulls him off. Lots of quick action here. Ambrose gets knocked to the outside, and Harris grabs Sandow and hits him with Mike Knox’s finishing move. That gets the victory.

Winner: Husky Harris

Damien gets Knox'd out.

Harris goes on to face Leo Kruger next week for the Florida Heavyweight Championship
