So it looks like DC is keen on making a Joker origin story with Todd Phillips directing and Martin Scorsese producing.
That actually sounds pretty interesting. Phillips more known for his Hangover comedies does seem like he could be a pretty good fit for this material. Although War Dogs may not have set the world on fire, he did make Jonah Hill’s character a despicable, but human person which is what he will need to get the story right for the Joker.
No word yet on whether or not Jared Leto will reprise the role but it would be nice to have a fresh take on the character and hopefully live up to the Jokers of before.
Also Scorsese’s track record as a producer lately has been much better than his directorial efforts with Bleed For This, Free Fire and the upcoming Snowman.
