EvilutionE5150 Album Review: MALAKYTE – “HUMAN RESONANCE”

Human Resonance is the debut album form Brisbane 5 piece thrashers Malakyte

Having made a name for themselves with consistently intense live shows and supporting the likes of Anthrax, Municipal Waste and Alestorm

The album sounds like this awesome hybrid of Teutonic thrash bands like Kreator and Sodom with the early bay area thrash sounds of Paul Baloff era Exodus

Unlike a lot of modern thrash bands these guys songs have susbstance and structure to them and aren’t over in a minute and a half leaving you wondering where the album went like a lot of newer bands do

Front man Tommy brings the harsh raspy style vocals along with duel blistering guitar work from Laggy and Dalton. They supply beautifully crafted acoustic intros where they really show off their chops, harking back to 80s thrash

Standout tracks on the album are “Fall To Khaos”, “Inbetween Terminals”, the lead track off the album “Media Suicide” and “Resonance Cascade” which is a full blown instrumental track

This album is a complete throw back to all that was good about 80s thrash but still feels new and fresh. Completely solid from start to finish, minus the instrumental interludes the album is fierce and unrelenting and doesn’t stop coming at you

All thrash fans must go out and get this now, they will not be disappointed
