In the long and storied history of the F.A.N. forum there have been threads that have taken a life of their own just because of how strange, outlandish and hilarious they are. Among them is the SUPER DRAGON! started by SuperSweet is Very Long on July 3, 2008.
It all began when this video went viral on YouTube. In the video a fan at a wrestling event tries to start a Super Dragon chant during a match that said wrestler is involved in. However, something amazing happened during the chant. Not only did it not catch on but other fans got annoyed by his loud unwanted chant and responded with one of their own, that being “SHUT THE FUCK UP” which was brief but funny. Undeterred the big Super Dragon fan started chanting for the man again. This led to the other fans reviving their chant directed towards the self appointed number one fan of Super Dragon. Said wrestler got fed up with the chant, jumped the guard rail and told the fan to stop it, to which the rest of the fans in attended applauded.
So what does this have to to do with the SUPER DRAGON! thread? In the first post of the thread Super Sweet wrote “*clap *clap *clap*clap *clap SUPER DRAGON!” several times. This led to many people posting funny replies.
