FCW 12/25/11

Holiday Wishes from the FCW Divas. Sadly, I'm late for that.

Welcome back to FCW. We start off this holiday episode being late, I’m out in Calgary, Alberta now. After an intense yoga class I’m just at my cousin’s place. We get a nice holiday wish from the FCW divas to start the show off. Show’s how late I am with this. Chris Russo and Byron Saxton are dressed very festively this evening.

Mike Dalton vs Peter Orlov

Since this is a Mike Dalton match, and having my first day at the school today, I will say that I have a brand new respect for professional wrestling. I think as a fan like, you’re critical of certain things without thinking the difficulty of doing those moves moves. Sometimes in recent postings I was critical of guys, making fun of them, mostly for humour and potential laughs. But yes, I do apologize if I was too harsh on some people. The first person that comes to mind is Leah West, who I made little jokes here and there about piledriving herself. I’m not gonna go into play by play details about school, but I will say that my first flip bump, I skidded my forehead off the mat. While I was fine, I was told I dove over the guy, and if I was a little less lucky, I would have piledrove myself from the front of my forehead instead of the back of my head. So like, at the time you just get up, dust yourself off and try again, but thinking more about it, I was certainly lucky and that in particular really opened my eyes. So, specifically to Leah West/Irena Janjic, I apologize for making fun.

Anyway, his opponent enters with Alexander Rusev. He’s coming in Adidas gear. Apparently, Peter Orlov has a remix of the Russian National Anthem. Orlov is apparently the brother in law of Rusev. Dalton does the Owen Hart reversal out of a wrist lock and gains advantage of Orlov at the start of the match. Orlov gets back dropped to the apron, and Dalton hits a Jericho style springboard dropkick, but it doesn’t send him to the ground. Orlov gets in and quickly gets the advantage, working on the knee. Orlov gets in the chin lock trying to keep the Blonde Stallion down. COSSAK DANCE KICK! He needs his hat though. Running stomp on the head gets a two count there. Orlov goes for mounted punches and hopes that gets some sort of victory, but no go. Dalton starts fighting from below and lands some forearm shots. Big dropkick by Dalton followed by a spinning heel kick then a knip up. Big monkey flip to follow up. Orlov grabs the hair to roll him up, but Dalton counters and gets the victory.

Winner: Mike Dalton

Mike Dalton gets a hard fought upset win, ending on a high note.

Big win from Mike Dalton, getting I think his first win on Christmas.

Florida Tag Team Championship Match

Briley Pierce & Brad Maddox vs Team Jacked

Briley tries to hand Brad a Santa hat. Bah, humbug!

Team Jacked features Mr. Jacked Nick Rogers and Big E Langston. Big E looking for his second tag team title reign. Briley wants to give Brad a Santa hat. Two heel tag teams here. Lots of posing here. We need Jesse Ventura and Gorilla Monsoon to call this. We start off with the man with no belly button. Briley keeps his Santa hat on. Shoving match at the start. Take down by Briley and he puts his Santa hat on Rogers. Tag into Maddox and he goes to work on the arm. Briley wants Maddox to put the Santa hat on Rogers. Rogers gets out an hits a vicious slap on Maddox. Maddox is not very pleased and starts going crazy on Rogers. Maddox makes the tag to Briley. Briley does some weird prayer pose before hitting an elbow drop. Quick tags in and out as Maddox is back in. What an odd group of wrestlers in this match. Rogers is able to get the tag in to Big E Langston. Maddox steps on Big E’s foot so he can get the tag, but Big E throws Maddox out of the ring and hits a big back body drop to Briley. Tag back into Rogers after Big E did some major damage. Rogers has his own elbow drop, the “Not even breaking a sweat” elbow. He misses it and Maddox is tagged back in. He knocks over Rogers and then while Big E was trying to get in, he kicks the ropes into the lower testicle area. Maddox trips up Rogers and hits a low drop kick. Big E comes in and breaks out the pin. Big E throws Maddox into the buckle, runs forward, but Briley Pierce runs to the corner and pushes Maddox away. Big E goes flying to the outside, and Maddox is able to hit the Deal Breaker on Nick Rogers and gets the victory.

Winners and STILL Florida Tag Team Champions, Brad Maddox & Briley Pierce

We go to Raquel Diaz who is ringside. Last week, she outsmarted Aksana. Everyone was so excited, but their cheers were meaningless. She says this title was meaningless. Now that she’s queen, she will restore honour back to the crown. It’s one step to acquire everything she wants in FCW. So like, are the Ascension still together?

Raquel controls herself this week, celebrating her crown win

Kenneth Cameron vs Jiro

And just as I say this, here comes Kenneth Cameron. No orgasm from Raquel? How disappointing. What’s an Ascension entrance without Raquel losing her mind. Nice Penguin jacket from Cameron as well. He’s puttin’ on the ritz! Out comes his opponent, Jiro, who has a fan. An actual Japanese fan, like Kitana would have. Kenneth hammers away in the corner, but Jiro reverses him into the corner and nails some overhand chops. He throws him in the ropes and Jiro misses a dropkick, to which Cameron capitalizes on. Cameron locks in a camel clutch, making him humble. He’s pressing the forearm into the face as well, grinding it in. Jiro crawls to the corner, leading Cameron in and giving him Cameron a boot to the face. Whip into the buckle and back body drop by Jiro. Jiro goes up for a big moonsault, but the pool was empty. Cameron lands a boot and then hits the Perfect Plex, getting the victory.

Winner: Kenneth Cameron

Ascension still looking to rise in 2012.

They do a recap of the Steamboat/Harris feud.

Ivelisse Valez & Caylee Turner vs Cameron Lynn & Kaitlyn

Two of the Tough Enough ladies teaming up, two rivals from the show. I personally hope Ivey knocks out Caylee here. They take on Cameron Lynn and Kaitlyn. Ivey and Cameron start out. Take down by Cameron into a one count. She pulls Ivey over to the corner and Kaitlyn gets the tag. Big sideslam by Kaitlyn, which is starting to look better. Caylee falls over the top rope, like, I have no idea if that was on purpose or not, but it did give Ivey the advantage with the distraction. Caylee confused about tagging in and out. Odd looking pull over move by Caylee. Tag back into Ivey. Ivey looks like she’s biting the arm, and pulls the arm back for a top wrist lock. Kaitlyn tries to get to her on her back. She does so successfully and drives her into the corner. Caylee and Cameron both get tagged in. Cameron hits the running boob shot. Caylee follows up with a Codebreaker and a running knee. Kaitlyn saves the pin there. Cameron and Kaitlyn go for a double team clothesline, but Ivey grabs the leg and pulls her out of the ring. Caylee Turner hits the X-Factor and gets the victory.

Winners: Ivelisse Valez & Caylee Turner

I wish they did an angle with Ivey and Caylee. We now go to Mr. Antonio Cesaro, who is going to make a Swiss Bank Safe guarantee. As long as he is here, he will never win another FCW Championship. Seth Rollins runs from the back and starts hammering on Cesaro. They get into the ring and Dean Ambrose runs in attacking Rollins. Cesaro grabs the legs and they start double teaming Rollins. Abraham Washington comes out with his woman, and is slowly getting his gear off to make the save. He finally makes the save and Washington goes to work on Cesaro. The referees come out to stop this, and get things under control.

Love the beret, he needs to wear it all the time.

Seth Rollins & Abraham Washington vs Dean Ambrose & Antonio Cesaro

Now, there is a referee in the middle of the ring between the two and this match starts out. Rollins starts hammering away at Cesaro. Cesaro runs out of the ring but is caught by Rollins, throwing him back inside. Cesaro gets Rollins into the corner, but Rollins is nailing both men here. Rollins was gonna go off the rope but Honest Abe tags himself in. Cesaro tags in Ambrose and they start talking strategy. Abe grabs a wrist lock and starts going to work on Ambrose. Abe starts slapping the back of Ambrose’s head. Armdrag to Ambrose followed by a pimp slap. Cesaro comes in and Abe hits another Pimp slap. Tag to Rollins, followed up by a nice snapmare and spinal tap. Rollins goes back to work on the arm. Quick tag back to Washington. Ambrose hits a back elbow and goes to tag Cesaro. Cesaro gets hip tossed and Rollins comes in after a tag. Rollins starts going to work in the corner, testing the ref’s 5 count. Cesaro pulls Rollins into the second turnbuckle, and tags back in Ambrose. Ambrose keeps Rollins in their corner, and Cesaro stomps on him for good measure. Ambrose has the legs crossed while pressing his foot into the abdominal area of Rollins. Ambrose distracts the ref and Cesaro nails in one more quick boot. Rollins tries to attack Cesaro but Rollins quickly stops him. Kick by Rollins into Ambrose. Ambrose gets the tag and Rollins runs towards his corner for a tag. Abe is a house of fire. Ambrose attacks him when Abe goes to pin Cesaro, and Cesaro is able to grab the leg and keep him from going anywhere.

Back from commercial, lots of quick tags from both teams, but it seems Cesaro has the advantage at this point, with a chin lock as well as locking the arm against the head. Abe gets back up and is able to hit a sunset flip. Cesaro attempts to reach for Ambrose but Abe pulls him down. Cesaro is able to wrestle him into his corner and make the tag to Ambrose. Ambrose keeps pounding awhile on Abe’s face. Ambrose locks in a leg lock and face lock, though Abe is pretty close to the ropes. Rollins runs in and boots Ambrose, but it doesn’t help too much. Cesaro is back in, and is keeping Abe from making the tag. Cesaro drives him into the corner and makes the tag back into Ambrose. Ambrose gets him into the corner but Abe gets the boot up. Ambrose goes to dive at Abe but Abe moves, goes for the tag, but Cesaro stops it. Rollins backdrops Cesaro outside the ring, then runs in and goes for a big suicide dive. Back in the ring, Abe is paint brushing Dean Ambrose. Big shoulder block followed up by a back body drop. Big splash into the corner on Ambrose, into his corner though. Another splash, still in the heel’s corner. Cesaro is able to get the tag while Abe was resting. Cesaro goes to roll him up, but Abe pushes him off and into a big kick from Rollins. Abe rolls Cesaro up again and gets the 3 count.

Winners: Abraham Washington & Seth Rollins

I guess that's a bit better then a firm handshake.

Abe get a good win with his new attitude, and Seth Rollins gets a bit of revenge on Cesaro. Rollins goes to shake Abe’s hand, but instead, gets a kiss on the hand from Abe’s new valet, whose name seems to be Danielle.
