Today we will be taking a look back at Monday Night Raw from two weeks ago. Several things took place on that night, but specifically what we be looking at is when Ricardo Rodríguez drove Alberto Del Rio’s car into the Big Show.
This whole thing started when Kane and the Big Show were talking backstage. Normally this would not be that big of a deal; however, when they were chatting, Big Show was sitting on one of the many expensive vehicles owned by Alberto Del Rio.
Any damage to a car, especially newer ones like the ones Alberto Del Rio has, are incredibly expensive to fix. Now granted, Alberto Del Rio is not the most popular person, but he does not deserve to have his car destroyed because an overweight giant decides to sit on it. And yes, Del Rio is a Mexican aristocrat and is wealthy so he can easily afford to fix it, but that does not give Big Show the right to destroy the car.
After Kane and Big Show lost the tag titles to David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty Alberto Del Rio told Big Show and Kane that he did not appreciate Big Show’s fat ass ruining his vehicle.
For some reason this greatly angered the former tag team champions, as if Del Rio was in the wrong for daring to confront them about the damage Big Show did to the vehicle. This angered Kane and Big Show so much that they chased Del Rio around backstage for a bit until Ricardo Rodríguez drove Alberto Del Rio’s car into the Big Show’s knee putting him on the shelf for a while.
The fact the car was drivable is a miracle. As for Ricardo injuring the knee of Big Show, Show really did have it coming. After all, he did cause massive damage to the car of Alberto Del Rio, completely unprovoked, all because he did not want to stand while talking to Kane. Del Rio and Ricardo Rodríguez were merely getting even with Big Show. In fact, a concerned Raw told me “If it was my car I do the same thing” because he was sympathetic towards Alberto Del Rio as everyone should be. After all, people really do need to be held accountable for their actions and what goes around comes around. Big Show severely damaged the car of Alberto Del Rio and Big Show had his knee severely damaged at the hands of Ricardo Rodríguez, which is why Ricardo Rodríguez is justified in his actions.
He stood up to the Big Show and put him back in his place. Furthermore, Ricardo Rodríguez should be thanked for his actions not only by Alberto Del Rio but by parents who were watching because it sends the message to children that they should stand up to bullies. Bullies like Big Show: the type of bully who damages the property of others without provocation and expects to get away with it
