Okay, three things about this:
- Parker Posey is in this show: That wasn’t made apparent early on and to be honest – anything with Parker Posey gets a shot because it is Parker freakin’ Posey!
- Damn, Netflix has a lot of money. Will this show be good? Who knows! Though based on Netflix’s track record with sci-fi series (Altered Carbon, Dark, and of course a little show called Stranger Things) there’s a very good chance it will be intensely watchable. But did you see those special effects? How does a Netflix TV show have JJ Abrams level special effects when most superhero movies can’t even pull it off convincingly?
- This looks like Netflix’s first real entry into the world of what you might consider a more conventional “network TV” type show. It doesn’t looks especially cutting edge or daring in terms of content, but it does seem like extremely high quality television with the kind of appeal that could get a few more subscribers in the pocket of Netflix. And while the prospect of yet another reboot doesn’t seems especially enticing, tbh, we’re just here for that cool looking robot.
Synopsis: “The Robinson family, part of a highly trained mission to establish a new colony in space, is unexpectedly pulled off course forcing them to crash land on a lost planet. Danger will find them. Lost in Space premieres April 13, 2018.”
