The Many Saints of Newark takes The Sopranos back to where it all began.

A feature based on the hit TV show The Sopranos has been talked about since the show ended and it looks like we are finally getting that in some way according to Deadline.

With the death of actor James Gandolfini, who was perfect in the role of Tony Soprano, the movie is actually a prequel set during the Newark riots back in the 60’s when tensions between Italians and African Americans were at an all time high. Some of the characters from The Sopranos will make appearances in the movie as well. It’ll more than likely have Tony’s dad and Uncle Junior running around starting up the New Jersey family.

The movie, entitled The Many Saints of Newark has been picked up by New Line Cinema and if you haven’t seen The Sopranos, get on it!
