Blood Simple’s sinful new poster.

A little more than three decades later, the Coen Brothers surprise fans with the news that they’re bringing their hit debut film, Blood Simple: Director’s Cut, back to theaters on October 6. The movie would set the tone for the Coen Brothers for their much-adored, oddball future films.

Blood Simple is a neo-noir film about a jealous husband who hires a hitman to spy and eventually kill his cheating wife and her lover — “Dead in the heart of Texas” — until things go expectedly awry. It’s a film that holds up, and it’s bound to make new fans and critics alike now with its upcoming cinema release.

A sexy, new poster was released as well. Is it sinful enough? Let us know!
