Melbourne’s reigning and defending kings of thrash metal Harlott have returned with their 2nd full length album titled “Proliferation”

Riding high from the success of their debut album “Origin” and their continued touring of incredibly intense live shows. I’ve seen them whip a crowd into a moshing, stage diving frenzy at the Bendigo Hotel more insane than any international act I’ve seen there. This has lead to a massive following both locally and internationally. Reaching far enough around the globe for Canadian thrash legends Annihilator have selected them to support them on their upcoming European tour.

The band have hit back with a second huge slab of classic thrash metal and it is impressive. If you didn’t think they could get more intense than they did on “Origin” then prepare to be amazed.

The album starts hard and kicks you in the face with the title track and it just builds from there. The band are incredibly tight and have really step up their game on this album. Andrew’s voice hits a new raspy level which really gives it a unique sound. It really makes it stand apart from all the screeching and growling in today’s modern metal. Only other person I could compare it to is possibly Zetro from Exodus when he really gets that raspy bark happening. Ryan has really improved as well with his lead work. There’s some really memorable solos on here especially on tracks “Denature” and “Systematic Reduction”. While drumming on the album was performed by Daniel Van Twest by he has since been replace by Trigger drummer Tim Joyce who has slotted in seamlessly.

Other stand outs include the lead track “Systematic Reduction” besides being heavy as fuck at a blistering speed it has one of the funniest music video I’ve seen in a long time that wasn’t made by King Parrot. The track “The Fading Light” which is full of references to songs by Melbourne thrash metal legends In Malice’s Wake and the song “Hellbent” which features a guest solo from Orpheus Omega main man Chris Thelmeco.

This band is literally jumping from strength to strength right now and as I am writing this news came out that now have now signed to the legendary metal record label Metal Blade and they are releasing this album international through them. They have international distribution now as well are about to start a massive European tour as I already mention the band are literally weeks away from global domination and seem virtually unstoppable.

This album is a must own for all metal fans, especially fans of that classic Bay Area thrash metal sound. Go out now and get this album or get out of their way because either way because they are taking over.

“Proliferation” is available now.
