AMANDA SEYFRIED HAS A SIXTH SENSE…IT’S LIKE SHE HAS ESPN OR SOMETHING…SHE CAN SENSE GENDER INEQUALITY

No wait, we can all sense gender inequality, it’s readily apparent. The actress has recently spoken out against wage inequality in Hollywood, telling the Sunday Times that she was once paid 10% of her male co-star’s pay check for a movie.

“A few years ago, on one of my big-budget films, I found I was being paid 10% of what my male co-star was getting, and we were pretty even in status,” the actress told the newspaper. “I think people think that just because I’m easy-going and game to do things I’ll just take as little as they offer… It’s not about how much you get, it’s about how fair it is.”

Without saying anything Amanda Seyfried already shows us something about how the genders are treated in Hollywood, considering how a charming young actress ended up playing girlfriend wish fulfillment fodder for Seth MacFarlane (twice!) but yeesh, 10%? That’s bad. Seyfried did not say who her co-star was or what film it was, but it was probably In Time, right? They paid Justin Timberlake decades more than her.

PICTURES FROM OBAMA ROMANCE MOVIE, NO REALLY

from Variety.com

A movie has just gone into production about Barack and Michelle Obama’s first date.

…I mean, I guess it’s not another 80’s remake, but also it kind of is? It is recreating something that happened in the 80’s at least: The beginning of Barack Obama’s courtship of Michelle LaVaughn Robinson. Southside With You, starring Parker Sawyers and Tika Sumpter as the POTUS and First Lady respectively, is the story of the young lover’s first date in Chicago in 1989. They went to the Art Institute of Chicago, watched Do The Right Thing and got ice cream. Sounds like a solid first date, not sure about it as the basis of a biopic though. Variety  has the first pictures from the set, both of which feature Michelle looking at Barack very seriously, the way you might look at someone when you know they’re going to grow up into someone worth making a movie about:

No word yet on when the film will be out, but soon enough you will be able to nervously joke to the date you’ll bring to Southside With You that heh, maybe one day one of you will be President. Then there will be a silence. Let’s just hope it can measure up to the majesty of Will and Kate: The Movie
