Only Early 00s kids will remember this toyetic cartoon! Toy moguls Hasbro seized on the spinning top manga Bakuten Shuto Beiburedo at a time when kids were happy to sink their parents money into absolutely anything that had cool-looking monsters/toys in it. The Bit-Beast spirits that inhabited the spinning tops were just close enough to Pokemon to draw some residual hype, and the tops themselves were collectable and competitive, two of the most favourite words of toy companies then and now. It was a very brief fad, I can remember going out and playing Beyblade against kids that I didn’t even know once and exactly once. Therefore, it is a thing I have heard of, so it’s time to get that movie rubber stamp out!
Deadline reports that Paramount Pictures will be adapting the timeless tale of competitive spinning tops for the big screen. That’s the same people that brought you the G.I Joe and Transformers movies you love so much, so look forward racist stereotype Bit Beasts trying to hump Megan Fox’s leg at some point soon.
BATMAN V JOKER: DAWN OF SET LEAKS
Suicide Squad truly is a Hollywood game changer and an innovative cinematic experience-the first film to be viewed entirely through photographs of the set. The security guards around the sets of comic book movies are about as successful as security guards in actual comic books, with the latest lapse revealing pictures of Ben Affleck’s Batman chasing the Joker and Harley Quinn through the streets of Toronto Gotham.
Courtesy of JustJared, the pictures show a stunt double decked out in SnyderBatman’s The Dark Knight Returns-inspired Batsuit, on the roof of the Joker’s sports car, with Jared Leto and Margot Robbie inside. The Batmobile, chunky edition can also be seen. No doubt this will be a flashback scene, depicting how Leto’s Joker ended up in prison. We will have to wait for the next batch of photos from filming to find out! Get a good look at these characters, and marvel at how CGI capes are added in post!
