Indiegogo Campaign: Get the Final Score a GGTMC DVD Release

For months (years?) I was looking into the possibilities to release a DVD in The Netherlands. And right from the beginning I had the idea to include an audio commentary by the men behind my favorite podcast: The GGtMC!

But it didn’t take me long to see that releasing a DVD is expensive and probably not doable for a small webstore like OMG Entertainment. And with the shrinking market for physical media and the rise of on demand and streaming services also not the wisest investment!

But still, for real movie fans DVD is long but dead! Especially for movies that are still only available on VHS or as VHS rip. It is not likely that movies like this one will get a “normal” release in the future. That’s why we decided to do a Dutch release of:

Final Score!

Many films get lost in the annals of time. Released during the VHS boom, only to be forgotten about over the years. Many of these films have been covered on the Gentlemen’s Guide to Midnite Cinema, but still reside in obscurity. You have the chance to help in unearthing one of these GGTMC jewels. This jewel is “Final Score”.

The film takes the revenge fable and cranks it up to eleven! The legendary Chris Mitchum (“Rio Lobo”, “Big Jake”, “American Commandos”, “The Day Time Ended”) headlines as Richard Brown, a loving father who’s settled in Indonesia because it’s a safe place to live. He finds out the hard way this isn’t exactly true, as a motley crew of thugs, led by Hawk (Mike Abbott), murder his children and rape his wife. Richard vows revenge, tracking down his rivals and utilizing his army skills to dispatch them.

If you think this sounds generic, I promise you the action delivers! Action sequences occurs at least every five minutes, with a bevy of brawls. Hand-to-hand combat, shoot-outs and explosions galore! There’s even a nifty use of a motorcycle and grenade that needs to be seen to be believed. You don’t want to miss out on this action!

Want to know how to attain a copy of this gem? All you have to do is donate money to this campaign, which goes directly into producing a DVD release of “Final Score”. Each donation comes with a perk, as a way of saying thank you.

The Perks

For €15, you’ll get a complimentary GGTMC shirt (make sure to leave your shirt size in the comments).

For €20, you’ll get the standard DVD, worldwide shipping is covered!

For €33, you’ll get the limited edition Big Hartbox edition.
(Artwork underneath is a work in progress!)

For €30, you’ll get the special GGTMC edition, which is a small hartbox with GGTMC specific artwork. It also includes a folded poster and worldwide shipping. An extra €20 will have the poster shipped to you in a tube. Act fast because only 60 will be made! (The artwork for this is not ready yet but will also be made by one of the talented people in the GGTMC group)
Info on the DVD:

  • The normal amaray package version of the DVD, but with cool artwork from fellow gentlemen Jason Cortez
  • The disc will probably need to be region 2
  • 4:3 Full Screen. While the official master unfortunately only comes in this format, it will look much crisper and cleaner than the VHS rip floating around the net.
  • English language / Dutch subtitles
  • Liner notes
  • Commentary track by Big Willy and The Samurai from the GGTMC
  • Plus more!
  • Since this is a Dutch release, the language on the backcover will be in Dutch (standard DVD only).

The Limited Big Hartbox DVD will be the same DVD as listed above, but limited, hand numbered and with different artwork! The Big Hartbox itself will resemble a VHS box and is limited to 100 copies. This will certainly become a collector’s item, so snag it now before it’s too late!

The GGTMC edition will come in a small hartbox and feature artwork that will speak to the GGTMC family.  It is limited to 60 copies and is also hand numbered. This will come with a folded poster of the artwork, which will be revealed soon.

And stay tuned because during the campaign we will be adding some unique perks like original movie posters, a signed poster by Christopher Mitchum and some dvd/blu-ray packages. Either become a member of the https://www.facebook.com/groups/ggtmc/ or like the https://www.facebook.com/ohmygodentertainment to get updates. (but the best way is of course to back us!)

Adios!
