The Worst Movies the F.A.N.s Have Ever Seen Part 2

Every so often a thread at the Freakin Awesome Network forum gets several replies to it. Often times this is because the discussion revolves around something that many have experienced in their lives. Recently a thread of this type was made asking people to name the worst movie they have ever seen.

Last week was part 1 and this week it’s part 2.

Below are posters for the movies named along with a brief description of a few of them.

Despite my best efforts I could not find a movie poster for both Terror of Orgy Castle and Meateater.

Daddy Day Camp is the sequel to Daddy Day Care. Daddy Day Care stars Eddie Murphy and Jeff Garlin. In that movie Charlie (Murphy) and his best friend Paul (Garlin) start a child care center. Charlie starts the child care center because he lost his job and needs money to pay the tuition for his child, Ben, (Khamani Griffin) at the expensive Chapman Academy preschool. Also in the movie Regina King plays the role of Charlie’s wife.

The cast of Daddy Day Care discussed because while all the characters mentioned above return for Daddy Day Camp the people playing them do not. Daddy Day Care was the directorial debut of former Wonder Years star Fred Savage. It was his decision to put the lowest level of “humor” in this film.

The movie poster above is for Let The Right One In. It tells the story of Oskar who becomes friends with a child who is a vampire.

Monster A Go-Go is one the best examples of a “nothing happens” film. Dull to a surprising degree, Monster A Go-Go also contains an ending that makes absolutely no sense.

I watched every movie in the Saw franchise and liked them all except Saw 5, which was the main reason I went to Saw 3D. To say I was disappointed was a massive understatement. This movie literally gives away the ending to the movie during the opening credits to anyone who has watched the movie Saw series from the beginning. Saw 3D also has the distinction of being the first movie for me personally where I considered walking out of the theater and asking for my money back.

The first Star Wars prequel takes a giant dump on the legacy of the original trilogy of the franchise in large part due to Jar Jar Binks and Jake Lloyd being at the top of the list of things that become very annoying, very quick.

There is a very thin line between suspension of disbelief and insulting the audience when watching a movie. Baby Geniuses does the latter. There is nothing of value in this movie. There no likable characters. When words come out of the mouths of their lips are not in synch. The talents of Christopher Lloyd, Kathleen Turner, Dom DeLuise among others are wasted in Baby Geniuses. This movie is at the very bottom of the barrel.  So naturally….

it had a sequel.

The cult movie The Room shows off the talents of Tommy Wiseau. Tommy Wiseau was the director, writer, producer and acted in this film. The Room follows Johnny (Wiseau), his best friend Mark (Greg Sestero) and Johnny’s future wife Lisa (Juliette Danielle) who are involved in a web of lies involving love. This is also one of the funniest or worst movies ever made depending on who one asks.

This sequel to Mortal Kombat manages to replace the bulk of the actors who played characters in Mortal Kombat. Additionally, the bulk of the characters are never given names leaving those watching who have never nay of the Mortal Kombat games wondering who most of characters are.

If you listen closely while watching The Master of Disguise you can hear Dana Carvey’s career being flushed down the toilet.

Battlefield Earth has literally almost every scene shot with the camera at an angle. The plot of this movie also makes zero sense as aliens try to enslave the human race with their vast technology, yet for some reason allow a human to have access to it under their supervision. Battlefield Earth also contains some of the hammiest acting this side of Faye Dunaway in Mommie Dearest.

The movie poster above is for Oasis of the Zombies.

Gigli was widely criticized was trying to cash in on the real life romance between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez when it was released in theaters in 2003.  Ironically, their love did not result in on screen chemistry between the two. It also resulted in a movie that made very little to no sense and an often times contradicts itself.

Batman and Robin is filled with more puns and horrible one-lines then the when Batman the television show first hit the airwaves back in the 1960s. Remarkably Christopher Nolan breathed new life in to the Batman franchise which was left for dead after this horrible mess of a movie left it for dead with Batman Begins.

Magnolia focuses on how a group of people are all related to one another through coincidence, chance, interactions, family and parallel situations. Magnolia also has some of the most despicable and unlikeable characters in the history of cinema in it. Another issue with this movie is that the length of it. This movie is over three hours in length with no intermission. The end result leaves the audience not only deeply offended by the actions of the bulk of the characters but worn out by the time Magnolia finally ends. It is also one of the worst movies ever made.

That leaves one last movie that being……

Bucky Larson: Born to be a Star the worst movie I have ever seen.
