Justifying Evil!: Lisa sleeps with Mark in The Room

Today, we will be taking a look back on The Room which stars Tommy Wiseau as Johnny, Greg Sestro as Mark and Juliette Danielle as Lisa. Specifically what will be looking back is when Lisa slept with Mark and why she was in the right for doing so.

At first glance it appears that Lisa sleeping with someone else besides Johnny, especially his best friend, while engaged to him is unwarranted, however if you look closely it is evident that she was driven into the arms of another due to many things.

First of all Johnny was always playing football.

Wheater it was with Mark, Denny or a  group of friends Johnny was always playing football. However, not once did he offer to play with his future wife. She might be a huge fan of the sport and would’ve enjoyed throwing the pig skin with friend, but that selfish jerk Johnny did not want to play with her. Additionally, by doing so Johnny was putting his friends ahead of his fiancé.

Secondly, Johnny is not good while having sex. Each time he had sex with Lisa he was attempting to penatrate her belly button. As for why he would think on this planet it may be the correct technique will be discussed shortly, but on Earth that is certainly not how it is done. Lisa was sparing Johnny’s feeling and was faking while they were in bed.

She cannot be blamed for running into the arms of someone who knows the proper way to have sex, who is also better looking.

However, the most important reason that Lisa was in the right for doing the deed with Mark is that Johnny is in reality an alien from another planet, which would explain so many things, and he did not tell her.

This would explain why Johnny attempted to penetrate the belly button of Lisa during sex.

It would also explain how Lisa’s hair magically went from being untied

to being tied

when they were getting ready to have sex. Johnny used his alien powers to make Lisa’s hair do as he wanted.

It would also explain why an apple that Denny was eating that he grabbed from Johnny’s house

disappeared moments later.

Johnny being not from this planet would also explain the pictures of spoons in his house, which are a scared item in his home world.

It would also explain why he would be laughing at a story told by Mark about a woman being beaten up to the point where she ended up in a hospital. Perhaps this would be humorous on his home planet, but here on Earth it is not funny in the least.

Most importantly, Johnny being from another planet would explain the awkwardness of Denny.

As we learn in the film Johnny is like a father to Denny. As a father Johnny would try and raise him the best way he can, that being the way he was brought up. This would explain why he likes to watch Lisa and Johnny having sex, while this would be considered perverted on Earth where Johnny is from this not only perfectly normal, but socially acceptable as well.

Lisa tried to be faithful Johnny, she really did. However, he kept neglecting her to play football with his friends without even asking her if she would like to play. Johnny also attempted to penetrate her belly button when they were having sex. And most importantly, Johnny did not tell Lisa that he is an alien. These actions drove her into the arms of another. The arms of someone on Earth, the arms of Mark.
